This Webinar is hosted by the CIWEM South Eastern branch and the CIWEM North Western & North Wales branch. The topic is “Digital Waters – What are they? Practical benefits and pitfalls”.

Chris Steele, Director of Asset Management, and Neil Breton, Digital Products Manager, both from Binnies, will share their experience on what “Digital Water” actually means in practice.

Chris and Neil will explain the process from setting the strategy to carrying out practical implementations, while sharing the common pitfalls to look out for.

In particular, Neil will be sharing real world case studies of how digital approaches can be applied to a wide range of water industry challenges, from leakage and dam monitoring to digital twins of different types of assets. The talk will demonstrate the potential for digital twins to aid in optimisation of asset operation and to expose insights from big data that would otherwise not be accessible. He will show how the use of digital achieves tangible value within the water industry. He will also cover challenges associated with digital approaches, and how these can be overcome.

The event is suitable for professionals from all disciplines and the general public, and will provide an insight into how digital solutions are being applied across the water industry.
