Chris has worked for Binnies for the last seven years and is a senior utilities expert with a wealth of asset management experience and expertise. His previous roles have ranged from asset strategy and planning to the technical direction of operations and maintenance and are underpinned by a passion for accelerating the adoption of digital solutions within the sector. Previous to this appointment, Chris successfully built the Binnies Digital brand, grew a multidisciplinary team and led on several innovative and award-winning international projects that were recognised by the Institute of Asset Management.
Speaking about the appointment, Scott Aitken, Managing Director of Binnies UK, said, “I am delighted to welcome Chris into this new role. He has greatly contributed to the growth of the asset management business and his extensive expertise in digital, operations and maintenance and asset management advisory make him perfectly placed to lead asset management on the next phase of its journey.“
“I look forward to starting my new role, building new relationships and developing our fantastic team of talented people,” Chris commented. “It’s great to be handing my existing role over to Jo Kelsey, who I trust to continue developing digital products and services to meet our clients’ needs.“
Jo Kelsey is stepping into the role that Chris has vacated, as our Digital Products and Services Manager. Jo joined us last summer as our digital ecosystem manager and has had notable successes developing our products and deploying them with a diverse range of clients.
Over the last five years, Binnies’ asset management business has grown and evolved considerably and is trusted by some of the largest water utility clients in the world to deliver their most strategically important projects. The success and growth of the team means that we have new career progression opportunities for our existing employees as well as an active recruitment campaign to bring in new staff to service a robust pipeline of work.
