Binnies broadens its operations and maintenance offering
Danni Jones joins Binnies after 15 years in the water industry with United Utilities, bringing technical and operational experience that has predominantly been gained in wastewater. Her expertise is underpinned by an early technical career in laboratories and regulatory services and she has worked closely with the Environment Agency and other key stakeholders.
Danni began her career as an apprentice scientist for United Utilities, gaining practical experience with a hands-on role within the labs while studying for a chemistry HNC. Upon completing the apprenticeship, Danni was appointed to a position in the life sciences team, gaining further understanding and experience of the treatment and regulation of both clean and wastewater, then progressing into the regulatory services team, further enhancing her understanding of the regulations around wastewater management.
In her most recent role, Danni was a technical officer in wastewater treatment, in which position she was responsible for the technical ownership of around 80 sites of varying size and complexity across the South Cheshire area. Within this position, Danni led on compliance improvements across the region and supported a multimillion pound capital upgrade programme on 22 of her sites, providing technical support and governance to ensure the safe and seamless delivery of the programme into operational ownership.
Danni joins Binnies’ expanding operations and maintenance team, adding to its wealth of expertise in the water industry. She joins at an exciting time, as the team begins a busy period of delivery in a strategic transformation project for a large water company.
“In the current climate, with so many things costing more than ever, it’s even more important for our clients and partners to deliver a sustainable and affordable service to their customers. Having experienced and forward-thinking people like Danni in our team is helping us to meet these challenges and support businesses in their journeys towards effective asset management, reducing unnecessary costs and enabling the companies to pass these cost reductions onto their customers. Our operations and maintenance function is delivering innovative maintenance solutions across the water industry and further afield, underpinned by the technology available through our own digital products and services team to offer a holistic package to our clients and partners,” said Adam Johnson, Head of Operations and Maintenance Services in the Binnies asset management team.
The Binnies operations and maintenance team, working in cross-functional partnerships with the digital products and services function and the strategic advisory services team, is engaged in delivering a major transformation programme within the water industry. It is developing innovative maintenance and operational solutions to aid the transformation from reactive to dynamic and proactive maintenance.
