Binnies launches new Mission, Vision and Values
On 28 June 2021, Binnies unveiled its Mission, Vision and Values, defining the purpose of the organisation and instilling a sense of pride and identity for its employees.
Six months after the acquisition of the Black and Veatch UK, Hong Kong and Singapore water businesses, Binnies is proud to launch a new Mission, Vision and Values (MVV) that we will hold fast to as we deliver Binnies’ services. The MVV has been developed over the last few months by the senior Binnies divisional team, supported by business unit members, who were allowed the opportunity to set out Binnies’ purpose, identity and core values for employees to uphold and, ultimately, our clients and partners to value.
The team wanted to ensure that the new MVV links and is aligned to the nine guiding principles of the RSK group, which include a commitment to supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals. As we deliver in a more demanding and challenging world Binnies will require a culture that is focused on innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients and the environments in which we work. Building on our Binnies past, we want to create a future of positive influence that will also enable us, in later years, to reflect with pride on our achievements.

Our actions and behaviours are what those around us will remember and feel about us, and that is why we have created ‘Engaged’ – a behaviour-based programme around the values that matter the most to Binnies. To become an Engaged graduate, you will complete seven online modules that take you though each of the seven behaviours. You will then be able to take these behaviours back to the business, share them, use them and talk about them. We all have individual talents and behaviour preferences, and we are all capable of great things, but it is when we work together, pulling from and enabling our different strengths, listening to and building on each other’s contributions, that we go beyond great to truly amazing achievements.
