Binnies strengthen its digital ecosystem strategy with new hire Jo Kelsey
In a bid to strengthen its digital ecosystem strategy, Binnies has hired Jo Kelsey as its Digital Product and Services Ecosystem Manager. Jo specialises in designing and delivering digital transformation strategies, building digital capabilities and working with clients to identify emerging needs for digital technology solutions. She joins Binnies from Stantec, where she was head of UK water digital services and part of the executive leadership team.
Jo will be part of Binnies’ rapidly growing digital products and services team, which offers a suite of industry-leading digital solutions that combine cutting-edge technology with engineering expertise and analytics to ensure speed to value is realised for clients.
At the beginning of her career, Jo was a wastewater network modeller at Haswell Consulting Engineers and Hyder Consulting. In 2010, she was responsible for managing Severn Trent’s capital maintenance programme and Phase 1 of its smart networks strategy. Jo also managed Worcestershire’s operation and maintenance term contract. This asset management experience led to a key role as part of Hyder’s PR14 Strategy Team Drawing. In 2016, Jo joined Stantec to develop digital analytics that help to manage water company activities more efficiently. Delivering these new technologies meant that she had to build a new team of technology, data science, analysis and data engineering specialists.
Jo joins Binnie’s at an exciting time in the organisation’s 100-year history. Binnies is the new trading name for the Black & Veatch water and environmental businesses in Europe and Asia after they joined leading integrated environmental, engineering and technical services firm RSK in January 2021. Binnies specialises in water utility, infrastructure, engineering and environmental projects.
