Binnies strengthens its advisory services team
Tim Baldock joins Binnies and brings significant experience of all aspects of wastewater capital planning and asset management. He has specialised in greenhouse gas emission measurement and mitigation from wastewater and bioresources assets.
Tim has spent the last 17 years with Southern Water, working across various roles planning, designing, commissioning, operating and optimising wastewater treatment and conveyance assets. His key achievements have been integrating the circa £48 million sludge treatment centre upgrade at Ashford Wastewater Treatment Works in Kent and contributing to the design for improvements to novel processes, such as secondary Biological Aerated Flooded Filters (BAFF) and Hybrid Biological Nutrient Removal plants (HBNR).
Tim was also responsible for building a multi-skilled team that has developed business cases, designs and delivery of spend-to-save efficiency schemes designed to reduce energy and carbon demand across processes. He has worked in asset risk assessment, optioneering and solution development and developed the wastewater process and bioresources PR19 business plan.
Tim’s most recent role focused on reducing pollutions from pumping station assets and developing an understanding and approach to greenhouse gas emission measurement and mitigation from wastewater and bioresources assets.
Tim said, “I am thrilled to be joining Binnies at an exciting time and I hope to bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from my time working in the water sector. My focus will be on bringing expertise to enhance our value frameworks to include carbon savings.”
Tim joins Binnies’ expanding Advisory Services team that supports organisations in managing the life cycle of their assets more effectively. The team has strong business, finance and regulatory economics capabilities and can provide support in the handling of processes and risk management. Tim Gadd, Binnies Head of Advisory Services, commented, “I am really excited to welcome Tim Baldock to the Advisory Services Team. He brings significant horsepower to our capital planning, risk and asset management offering. Tim’s background in process science also adds technical value to our strategy and planning services in the water and environmental sector.“
