Water Industry Awards – Binnies nominated in four categories

Binnies is thrilled to announce that it has been shortlisted in four categories for the upcoming Water Industry Awards taking place on 29 June this year in Birmingham.

2022 will see the return of the Water Industry Awards in person, reuniting the industry to celebrate the incredible work of the UK water sector. The Water Industry Awards will recognise the very best consultants and contractors delivering on the frontline of the water sector.

Binnies has been nominated for the following categories:

Digitalisation Project of the Year for its work on the Intelligent Dam Monitoring System (iDMS)

Asset Management Initiative of the Year for its digital and dynamic asset management plans

Consultancy of the Year, recognising the strength of our reinvigorated brand over the past year, illustrated by our growth, digital innovations (including iDMS and Helix) and delivery of successful projects for our water clients

Pollution Mitigation Initiative of the Year, submitted in partnership with Anglian Water, which is a new award introduced to recognise those businesses “tackling one of the most pressing issues” facing the water sector.

This recognition is testament to the hard work and dedication shown by our teams. It proves that since RSK’s acquisition and rebranding of Black and Veatch’s water business at the beginning of 2021, the newly named Binnies has been able to establish itself as a leading brand in the industry.

We are proud to be part of the RSK group, which achieved 12 award nominations across three RSK group businesses: MWH Treatment, WRC and ourselves.

“These awards are a testament to our commitment to delivering effective and sustainable solutions for the water industry,” said Mark Smith, RSK Group Director, Water. “RSK group has a strong presence in UK water and across the globe. We are pleased with our efforts to lead on digitalisation, with Binnies and MWH Treatment both being recognised for their digital offerings. We will continue to strengthen our advisory, design and build capability with RSK’s Centre for Sustainability Excellence, which was launched recently in Singapore. The centre will focus on sustainable development in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.”

This year’s winners will be announced at the awards evening on 29 June in Birmingham, UK. We look forward to participating!
