Manual handling

Cost £150 + VAT, duration 1 hour
What it covers: An overview of the legislation, roles and responsibilities of employers and employees, safe lifting and body positioning and assessing the hazard.

Learning styles: This course is offered as a one-hour e-learning module, containing regular knowledge checks to ensure that all of the necessary information has been understood.

Intended audience: Anyone who undertakes manual handling in the workplace or supervisors with responsibility for assessing and reducing manual handling activities.

Certification: A certificate of attendance will be available upon completion.

 

Fire safety

Cost £75 + VAT, duration 1 hour

What it covers: An overview of the legislation, roles and responsibilities of employers and employees with regard to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, including:

  • the fire triangle
  • causes of fire
  • hazards associated with fire
  • how fire spreads
  • fire protection
  • fire classification
  • fire extinguishers
  • the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order
  • fire safety briefings
  • employees’ responsibilities
  • fire risk assessment
  • actions in the event of fire.
