Binnies project managers are based around the world, and the UK team has significant experience in the delivery of integrated design-and-build projects. Our project managers are committed to the successful delivery of projects using their skills, knowledge and experience to manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communications, risk, procurement and stakeholder needs. Our project managers often have technical backgrounds but specialise in project management and undertake training through internal development programmes affiliated with professional project management institutions such as the Association for Project Management or the Project Management Institute.
Binnies project managers are experienced in the delivery of infrastructure projects across the water, wastewater, flood and environmental sectors. We operate across the asset life cycle from inception, through appraisal, design and construction to asset management, thereby optimising our clients’ investment programmes. Our project management professionals have significant experience of strategic appraisal, optioneering, detailed design, and construction and commissioning. We are experienced in managing small to large multidisciplinary integrated design-and-build projects and have backgrounds in consultancy, contracting and client organisations.
Our project management capability is based on our processes, people and tools combining to deliver the project objectives and acceptance criteria. Our processes are set out in our integrated business management systems, which are fully accredited in each region where we operate.
We plan projects using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. All activities are logic linked to determine the earliest and latest start and finish dates for each activity, the available float and the critical path. Time risk allowances are included to give confidence in the completion dates. Budget costs are applied to the activities to define the planned forecast of expenditure.
We communicate effectively and our project managers are supported to work well with others and to guide projects effectively.
