The Binnies safety & risk team have over 140 years of combined experience in health, safety and risk consultancy professional services, with more than 80 years of that experience at Binnies.

We are able to provide the necessary support and peace of mind to clients, should they be conscious of their obligations or concerned that they may not fulfil their obligations with regard to applicable health and safety legislation.
The field of health, safety and risk is one that is continually changing and evolving. Our highly qualified and vastly experienced team keep up-to-date with all the latest legislation and current case law. This enables the Binnies safety & risk team to develop tailored, cradle-to-grave solutions for clients, thereby enabling them to adequately manage risks on their projects.
We are able to discharge the duties of principal designer, as defined in the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015; should this duty holder role not be required, we are able to act as a CDM Advisor. The members of the team are experts in the regulations and are also able to deliver bespoke training to relevant stakeholders.
The team have significant experience of carrying out a wide variety of risk services: HAZOP, SWIFT, ALM, HAZCON and FMEA studies, as well as DSEAR and SIL assessments. These services have been executed in diverse industry sectors, including water, desalination, power generation, oil and gas, and for both public and private sector organisations.
The safety & risk team can provide the HAZOP chairperson, technical secretary and the specialist software required to facilitate the studies. We use the available resources in our technical services team for additional advice when required.
