Perfect scores for second year running
Achilles UVDB Verify is an independent audit of an organisation’s safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) management systems and corporate social responsibility (CSR) and is especially designed to help utility companies find high-quality suppliers, manage risk and comply with UK regulations.
Binnies’ audit was split into two parts:
- A day evaluating its management systems, and;
- A day assessing its site-based activities.
The management system evaluation was held remotely on 30 November and involved input from Ruth Powell, Environmental, Social, Health and Safety Manager; Annie Fern, HR Business Partner; and Keith Offergelt, Quality and Environmental Systems Manager. The site-based assessment was undertaken on the following day at the regional sewage treatment works facility at Naburn Lane, York, operated by Yorkshire Water, with assistance from Binnies’ Rob Moffat, Project Manager, and Paul Rhodes, Construction Operations Manager, and support from main contractor Gradon Construction Ltd.
The certificate of audit, together with its product and service code summary, enables prospective clients to review Binnies’ audit scores and scope of available services in one place and helps the company to demonstrate compliance with utility companies’ procurement requirements in the SHEQ and CSR fields.
