This year, this United Nations observance day focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
International Day of Women and Girls in Science provided an opportunity for Binnies to recognise and celebrate its female employees who have chosen a career in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
As Binnies is a leading engineering consultancy employing civil, digital, environmental, mechanical and electrical engineers, among other disciplines, and is a passionate advocate of equality and empowerment for its employees, it was only natural to celebrate this international event and highlight the company’s extremely talented pool of female employees.
Binnies reached out internally through its organisation to find potential participants who were willing to share their views and experiences of working in STEM and what benefits this career path can have for girls considering higher education or a profession in these disciplines. To Binnies’ delight, numerous female employees responded with extremely positive and upbeat perspectives on their STEM careers. Binnies, as part of the RSK Group, was therefore heavily featured in RSK’s International Day of Women and Girls in Science article.
