The networks services team expands
Matthew Kelsey joins Binnies from United Utilities, where he performed various roles across engineering, maintenance and operational management functions for wastewater networks.
Matthew exchanged law for engineering after university and soon developed a career within the utility sector at United Utilities, progressing to managing a team of engineers and contractors to ensure that the wastewater network kept flowing. Successfully outperforming targets year on year through continuously striving for improvement and using innovative ways of working, Matthew brings a track record of delivering results in the sector.
Recently, Matthew has helped to implement smart network and artificial intelligence practices into the wastewater network, enabling the prediction of blockages, floods or spills for a more proactive approach to network operations. With significant challenges and penalties for underperformance, water companies need to act, and Binnies is ramping up its response to support clients at this critical time.
Matthew joins Binnies’ expanding network services team, which supports existing and new clients in improving their performance via a suite of industry-leading solutions that combine cutting-edge technology with engineering expertise and analytics to ensure effective management across the entire asset life cycle.
Stuart White, Binnies Head of Network Services, says: “Matthew provides a key strategic component to deliver more focus and capability to our growing wastewater network service offerings for clients. I’m excited to welcome him to our talented network services team. Matthew’s experience and capability will supplement our skills perfectly, and I look forward to him supporting our clients in addressing their challenges.”
